SAS Connections

When using the LT260 with a SAS connection, note the following items.
3.1.1.1
For 6Gbps SAS Cards
When the LT260 is used with a Fujitsu 6Gbps SAS card, Oracle 6Gbps SAS card, or LSI Logic 6Gbps SAS card, the
OS needs to be made aware of the changer device by executing the following command after the OS starts up:
# update_drv -a -i '"scsiclass,08"' sgen
After executing the command, check the device file.
# ls -l /dev/scsi/changer
The changer device is recognized if the following output or an output similar to it appears.
...
lrwxrwxrwx
../../../devices/pci@400/pci@1/pci@0/pci@4/LSI,sas@0/iport@8/medium-changer@
w500110a001389f60,1:changer
...
Executing the command may result in the output shown below. This output is not an error if the OS
recognizes the changer device properly.
# update_drv -a -i '"scsiclass,08"' sgen
("scsiclass,08") already in use as a driver or alias.
