Adding Main Memory to the GR2000-BH

You may increase the size of the GR2000-BH's main memory from 512MB to either
768 MB or 1024 MB by adding one or two DIMMs, respectively.

Step 1.
Remove the BCU referring the section 5.4.2, "Replacing a BCU," on
page 5-7.
Step 2.
See Figure 5-19 below for a layout of the memory slots on the BCU. Identify
the next open slot (see note below) into which you will install a DIMM. Pull
open the two locking levers on the slot. Insert the DIMM into the slot and
firmly seat it in the connector. When the DIMM is properly seated, the
levers on the memory slot will be drawn up into the locked position.

Install the BCU referring the section 5.4.2, "Replacing a BCU," on page 5-7.

Set the power switch(es) to 0 (OFF) and pull out the power cable(s) before
removing the BCU from the GR2000-BH chassis. Even if you switch off the
power, you can still be shocked if the power cable is connected to the
chassis. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE POWER CABLE!
If you have a GR2000-BH with dual power supplies, you must POWER OFF
BOTH POWER SUPPLIES before you may consider power to be removed
from the device.
Similarly, do not put your hands into a the unit while either of the
GR2000-BH's power supplies are ON. If you do so, you could receive a
shock or physical injuries caused by a working part.

Memory Slots
Always use the next open slot when installing a DIMM. Slots 0 and 1 are filled
at the factory. Therefore, if you add just one DIMM, install it in slot 2.
