5.4.3

Installation and Replacement of a Power Supply Unit

The following procedure is for removing and replacing a power supply unit. You may
also install and additional a power supply unit to a GR2000-BH that has only one. If
so, see the Note below about removing the dummy panel. Once the panel is removed,
refer to Section 5.4.3.2, "Installing a Power Supply Unit."
Note: If you are installing an additional power supply, remove the dummy panel from the

unused power supply slot and store it so that it doesn't get bent or lost. If you
ever return the configuration to that having a single power supply, you will need
to replace the dummy panel for proper airflow.
See the cautions at the beginning of this section before proceeding with the removal
or replacement of a power supply.

Removing a Power Supply Unit

As in the warning above, ensure that power to both power supplies is
turned OFF.

If you have a GR2000-BH with dual power supplies, you must POWER OFF
BOTH POWER SUPPLIES before you may consider power to be removed
from the device.
Similarly, do not put your hands into a the unit while either of the
GR2000-BH's power supplies are ON. If you do so, you could receive a
shock or physical injuries caused by a working part.
