Remove four M2x2 screws securing the frame to the FDD and lift off the frame.

Remove the tape and disconnect the flexible cable from the drive.
Installing the FDD
To install the FDD, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-23 and 4-24.
1.
Connect the flexible cable to the FDD and secure it with tape.
2.
Secure the frame to the FDD with four M2x2 screws in the numbered order: 1 to
4 (Figure 4-24). Tighten screws 1 to 4 to a torque of less than 2.2 kgfcm.
3.
Insert the FDD under the ground plate. Then engage the latches on the frame
with corresponding notches on the computer and seat the FDD assembly.
4.
Connect the FDD cable to PJ5 on the system board.
5.
Secure the FDD assembly with four M2.5x6 screws.
7.
Install the top cover with display assembly, RTC battery, sub-battery, VGA
assembly, keyboard, HDD, optional memory module, optional PC card, and
battery pack as described in Sections 4.8 back through 4.2.
