4.11 AC Power Supply Unit
Removing the AC PS Unit
To remove the AC PS unit, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-27 and 4-28.
1.
Turn the computer off. Disconnect the AC power cord and all external cables
connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the battery pack, optional PC card, optional memory module, HDD,
keyboard, sub-battery, VGA board, RTC battery, top cover with display assembly,
FDD, and HDD interface board as described in Sections 4.2 through 4.10.
3.
Remove the tape securing the AC PS unit cable and disconnect the AC PS unit
cable from PJ502 on the system board.
4.
Remove the tape securing the AC PS unit and remove one M2.5x10 screw
securing the AC PS unit.
5.
Turn the AC PS unit out of its seating and lay it on its side.
6.
Remove two M2.5x6 screws securing the holder assembly and plastic cover and
lift out the assembly.
