Procedure 2
Error Code Check
If the microprocessor detects a malfunction, the AC IN icon blinks orange. The blink pattern
indicates an error code as shown below.
Start
Off for 2 seconds
Error code (4 bit)
"1"
"0"
Interval between data bits
Error code begins with the least significant digit.
Example: Error code 2h (error codes are in hexadecimal)
Check 1
Convert the AC IN icon blink pattern into the hexadecimal error code and com-
pare it to the table below.

Meaning
VCC (+5V) voltage is over the maximum allowed limit.
VCC (+5V) voltage is below the minimum allowed limit.
P12V (+12V) voltage is over the maximum allowed limit.
P12V (+12V) voltage is below the minimum allowed limit.
B3V (+3.3V) voltage is over the maximum allowed limit.
B3V (+3.3V) voltage is below the minimum allowed limit.
B5V (+5V) voltage is over the maximum allowed limit.
B5V (+5V) voltage is below the minimum allowed limit.
Current for the external keyboard is over the maximum allowed limit.
Voltage of the main battery is over the maximum allowed limit.
Current of the internal AC PS unit is abnormal.
The CPU overheats.
Voltage of the internal AC PS unit is over the maximum allowed limit.
Voltage of the internal AC PS unit is below the minimum allowed limit.
A nonstandard battery is installed.
