CHECKING THE OIL STRAINER

1. Check:
• oil strainer 1
Damage → Replace.
Contaminants → Clean with solvent.

ASSEMBLING THE OIL PUMP

1. Lubricate:
• inner rotor
• outer rotor
• oil pump shaft (oil pump driven gear)
(with the recommended lubricant)
Recommended lubricant
Engine oil
2. Install:
• oil pump driven gear 1
(to the oil pump housing 2)
• outer rotor 3
• inner rotor 4
• pin 5
• oil pump housing cover
NOTE:
_
• Install the inner rotor and outer rotor with
their punch marks a facing away from the oil
pump housing.
• When installing the inner rotor, align the pin
in the oil pump driven gear with the groove
b in the inner rotor.
3. Check:
• oil pump operation
Refer to "CHECKING THE OIL PUMP".

INSTALLING THE OIL PUMP
For installation, reverse the removal proce-
dure.
1. Install:
• gasket
New
• oil pump assembly
• oil pump assembly screws
