CLEANING THE V-BELT CASE AIR FILTER ELEMENT/

CHECKING THE CARBURETOR JOINT AND INTAKE MANIFOLD

CAUTION:
_
Do not twist or wring out the element. This
could damage the foam material.
c. Apply oil of the recommended type to the
entire surface of the element, and then
squeeze the excess oil out.
NOTE:
_
The element should be wet but not dripping.
Recommended oil
Engine oil

4. Install:
• V-belt case air filter element
• V-belt case air filter dust seal
• V-belt case air filter cover

CHECKING THE CARBURETOR JOINT AND
INTAKE MANIFOLD
1. Remove:
• seat
• center cover
• rear panel
• left side cover
Refer to "REMOVING THE SEAT AND
SIDE COVERS".
2. Check:
• intake manifold 1
• carburetor joint 2
Cracks/damage → Replace.
Refer to "CARBURETOR" in chapter 5.
