Checking the chassis configuration restoration status with OME-M version
1.3.0 and above
MX7000 automatically restores configurations stored in RCP and MCM data for OME-M version 1.3.0 and above.
About this task
When a new RCP is detected, the RCP Part Replacement feature automatically restores the chassis configuration with OME-M
version 1.3.0 and above.
RCP replacement on chassis not in MCM group
To check the chassis configuration restoration status:
Steps
1. Power off the chassis.
2. Replace the RCP on the chassis.
3. Power on the chassis.
The RCP PR feature automatically restores the chassis configuration stored in the RCP.
4. Once the MSM's web GUI is accessible, log in to OME-M.
5. On the chassis Alert page, check the message against the ID in the table.
RCP PR alerts are displayed for Replacement of new RCP and configuration restoration completion status.
NOTE:
Refer to EEMI messages on the
On Job Details page, the job messages provide failures in automatic process if any. To recover from the failure, manually set
the user configurable settings via GUI on the chassis.
About this task
RCP replacement on chassis in MCM group
To check the chassis configuration restoration status:
Steps
1. To confirm the RCP replacement, follow the same steps as mentioned in RCP replacement on chassis not in MCM
group.
2. On the chassis Home page, confirm the Lead chassis IP is displayed in the chassis information area.
3. On Lead chassis, wait for MCM OnBoarding job to complete.
4. Check the chassis IP in the chassis information area on Lead chassis Home page.
Display of new IP indicates that the chassis configuration is restored successfully.
Removing the right control panel cable
Prerequisites

Remove the input output module

Remove the right control panel
Steps
1. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the cable module to the chassis.
2. Slide the cable module out of the chassis wall, and pull the cable through the slot on the chassis side wall.
