■ 5.5.5 Starting the Remote Storage (vMedia)
The Virtual Media page enables user to "virtualize" a diskette image or drive. Virtual
Media allows a floppy image, floppy drive or CD/DVD drive on user's system, to be available
on the managed system's console as if the floppy image or drive were present on the local
system. For example, after user virtualize a drive on a managed system running the

as a real drive with a new drive letter (for example, E:). The Virtual Media page displays the
floppy image, floppy drive, CD/DVD drive or ISO image on the management console that is
currently virtualized.
The following steps will show how to start Remote Media from WebGUI.
Step 1.
Log in to the LOM as Administrator to reach the WebGUI.
Step 2.
Select Remote KVM to enter Remote KVM page.
Step 3.
Launch Java VM Client to start Remote Media.
When user launch Java VM client, there will have several warning message
showing up as similar as session 5.5.3

Media Session screen as Fig. 5.5.8, user can click the Details button to display a
list of virtual devices and the read/write activity for each device as Fig. 5.5.9.
