Adding Entry from Another Source

New entries may be added to a phonebook from other sources in the wireless phone.

From Idle Screen

You may enter a phone number on the Idle screen and add the number to a phonebook.
To add an entry from the Idle screen,

Input a phone number at the Idle screen.
Press BOOK to display the Add to phonebook menu.
Press 1 to display the Add new menu.
Select the phonebook type to add the number.
ADD THE NUMBER TO PHONE
The Select field screen displays. Select the phone number type for the entry and the Add
new screen displays with the number displayed in the selected number type field of the next
available location number. Continue with the instructions provided in Personalizing Entries
on page 109.
ADD THE NUMBER TO SIM OR FDN
The Add new screen displays with the number in the phone number field of the next
available location number. Input the name for the entry. If the next available location
number is not preferred, input the preferred location number. Press Softkey 1 (OK) to save.

From Messages or Email

A phone number in message text may be added to a new entry in a phonebook. An Email
address in message text can only be added to a new entry in Phone.
To add a phone number or Email address to a phonebook entry from message text,

Highlight the phone number or Email address.
Press MENU (Options Menu) and 1 to display the Add to phonebook menu.
Press 1 to display the Add new menu.
Select the phonebook type to add the number. Select Phone to add an Email address.

Entries in the SIM and
FDN phonebooks are only
allowed a name, a phone
number, and a location
number.
Enter your PIN2 when
adding an entry to FDN
phonebook.
