Check and Clear the Fuser Unit

1. Press the release lever to open the back cover (A).
2. If it is installed, remove the duplex unit. (See
Chapter 2 of the Easy Printer Setup Guide for
instructions.)
3. Use a screwdriver or your fingers to unscrew the
small screw at the left side of the fuser unit and pull
down the back panel (B.
4. Carefully remove any visible paper (C).
5. Close the back panel of the fuser unit and replace
the screw.
6. Close the back cover.
WARNING!
Do not touch the fuser (labeled) inside
the printer. It can be extremely hot. Be careful not to
touch the metal part of the motor located at the right end
of the feeder. It becomes hot after continuous duplex
printing.
