Maintenance
Main body and drum
Clean the main body and drum whenever they are dirty.
 If there are water spots on the door and plastic parts, detergent or softener on the metallic parts, or the main
body of the machine is otherwise dirty, wipe the machine with a soft cloth. Failure to do so may result in rust and
damage.
 If the glass on the inside of the door is dirty, wipe it with a damp cloth.
 Do not splash water directly onto the machine.
 Do not wipe benzene, thinner, cleaning powder, alkaline detergents, low alkaline detergents, wax, or other
substances onto the machine, and do not use coarse scrubbers.
 Wipe off drum rust using a cream cleanser.
Do not use steel wool or other coarse scrubbers.
 The stainless steel drum and the metallic areas surrounding the door are rust resistant, but rust may occur in the
following cases.
• When hairpins or other metal objects are left in the drum and are in direct contact with it for prolonged periods,
or when water mixed with iron or rust particles is used.
• When chlorine-based bleach, detergent, or softener is left in the drum or on the metallic areas surrounding the
door for prolonged periods.
 After an operation finishes, leftover water from the water supply pipeline may drip out of the injection inlet, so wipe
the area with a soft cloth.
 Wipe off lint and debris on the areas surrounding the door and
the door bellows, behind the door bellows, and inside the drum
after each use.
Lint and debris attached between the door and the door bellows
may result in water leakage or adhere to laundry.
• If lint still adheres to laundry, run the [TUB CLEAN] program for
3 hours.
(P. 52)
(Washing drum detergent is not required in such cases.)
 Condensation may occur on the areas surrounding the door
and door bellows depending on your environment. If this is a
concern, wipe it off.
