Symptom
Do you clean the drum periodically?
 Soap accumulation and mold growth inside
the drum can result in odors.
Do you clean the drain outlet periodically?
 A clogged drain outlet can result in odors.
Is the drain hose installed properly?
Odors
 Depending on the condition of the drainage
pipe, odors may be a concern.
Are you using an excessively fragrant or thick
detergent or softener?
 The laundry may be absorbing the fragrance of
the detergent or softener.
Are you leaving laundry inside the drum for long
periods after operations?
 Freshly dried or warm half-dried laundry may
give off the smell of detergent and other odors.
 Laundry may absorb some odors from the
drain outlet during drying operations.
Does the wash load include a lot of items that
tangle easily, such as trousers and long-sleeve
shirts?
 If laundry is dried in a tangles state, uneven
drying may occur.
Did you spin the laundry before running the
drying operation?
 If you dry laundry that has not been spun, the
laundry may not be completely dry when the
drying operation finishes.
Did you remove the dry filter during the drying

 Removing the dry filter during the drying
operation will change the pressure inside the
drum and reduce the performance.
 Uneven drying may occur depending on
the combination of items dried, and the
temperature and humidity of the installation
location.
Is the drain outlet is clogged?
 Lint clogs in the drain outlet and drain hose
can affect the drying operation.

Solution
Run the [TUB CLEAN] program periodically.
We recommend leaving the door open after
operations to prevent mold growth.
In such cases, use the door stopper to prevent
children from getting trapped inside the drum.

We recommend running the [TUB DRY] program
to dry the drum and prevent mold growth.

Clean the drain outlet about once per month.

Depending on the installation conditions, odors
may rise out of the drain outlet during drying
operations. Try changing the dehumidification
mode from Air Cooling Mode to Water Cooling
Mode. (More water will be consumed during
drying in such cases.)
If this is a concern, try reducing the amount of
detergent or softener.
Leaving laundry inside the drum after drying or
leaving half-dried laundry may result in odors.
Remove laundry immediately after the drying
operations finish.
This is not a malfunction.
When washing items that tangle easily, untangle
the laundry manually after the spin cycle, and then
run the drying operation.
When drying wet laundry, run the spin cycle once
before starting the drying operation.
Do not remove the dry filter during the drying
operation.
Press the [DRY LEVEL] button to set the dryness
level to [EXTRA].
