Placing Outside Calls Using Line Groups

To place an outside call over a Line Group:
1. By default, pressing Intercom and dialing 911 or lifting the handset and dialing 911 will not call emergency
services.
2. Lift handset.
3. Press
INTERCOM
4. Dial Line Group code
a) By default, your system uses 9 for single-digit access to line group 90. Dialing 90-98 is not enabled.
If you hear dial tone as soon as you dial 9, your system has Line Group Routing on page 122 enabled.
5. Dial outside number.
a) If the number doesn't dial out within 6 seconds, your system probably has Store and Forward enabled. Just

to have the call go through.
