Faxing Problems
Is the telephone line in proper condition? Do you have a good telephone line
connection?
Lower the transmission speed. (See "Setting the Send/Receive Start Speed," on
p. 7-2.)
If you are feeding paper from the stack bypass to print received documents, are
the slide guides in the stack bypass set to the correct paper size?

Did the sender place their originals correctly when they sent the document?
Contact the recipient and ask them to check if they placed their originals

Is the machine's memory full?
Wait for the machine to finish processing any fax or print jobs stored in memory.
Then ask the sender to resend the fax.
Did an error occur during reception?
Print an Activity Report and check for an error. (See "Printing the Activity
Report," on p. 5-6.) You can also check the RX REPORT if it is printed
automatically. (See "Adjusting the RX REPORT Setting," on p. 8-10.)
Is the telephone line connected properly?
Make sure that all telephone line connections are secure. (See "Connecting the
Telephone Line," on p. 1-16.)
