(1) Handle
Use this handle to pull out the Disk Expansion Unit from the rack.
(2) 3.5-inch hard disk drive bay
The 3.5-inch hard disk drive bay can be equipped with optional hard disk drives. The slot
numbers are defined as 1 to 12.
(3) Power LED (green)
The power LED lights green when the Disk Expansion Unit is powered on.
(4) Status LED (green/amber/red)
The Status LED lights green when the system is operating normally.
The Status LED lights amber if a problem is detected.
The Status LED lights red if a failure is detected.
(5) IO Module LED (green)
The IO module LED blinks green when the connection is active.
(6) Heartbeat LED (green)
The Heartbeat LED blinks green once every 3 seconds when one I/O module is installed.
(7) Disk Status LED (green/red)
The Disk Status LED lights green if the disk operates normally.
The Disk Status LED lights red if a drive error is detected.
The Disk Status LED remains off if there is no disk drive in the bay.
(8) Disk Power LED (green)
The Disk Power LED blinks green when the installed hard disk drive is operating.
The Disk Power LED remains off if there is no disk drive in the carrier.
(9) Hard Disk Drive Tray
These trays may be fitted with a hard disk drive or empty (depending on your
configuration). 12 trays are available.
