The NEC Express server cannot access the Disk Expansion Unit.
θ Are the cables connected correctly?
→ Confirm that the interface cable and the power cord are connected securely.
θ Are the hard disks NEC-recommended for the Disk Expansion Unit?
→ The use of devices not recommended by NEC is not supported.
θ Are the hard disks installed correctly?
→ Hard disks must be securely locked into place to ensure an appropriate connection.
A hard disk is properly connected when the LED on the hard disk lights when the
Disk Expansion Unit is powered on.
θ Is the array controller NEC-recommended for the Disk Expansion Unit?
→ The use of devices not recommended by NEC is not supported.
θ Is the Disk Array Controller correctly set-up?
→ Refer to your Disk Array Controller User's Guide.
The rebuild function cannot be performed in the RAID configuration (except
RAID0)
θ Is the capacity of the hard disk to be rebuilt smaller than that of the defective disk?
Use a hard disk of the same capacity and specifications as the defective disk.
θ Is the consistency check under execution?
→ Complete the consistency check before starting the rebuild.
θ Is the Disk Array Controller setting correct?
→ Refer to your Disk Array Controller User's Guide.
