4. Pull up the handle slowly. The handle clicks and locks into place.
IMPORTANT:
Do not pinch your fingers with the handle.
Avoid touching any power unit connection terminals.

Replacing a Defective Power Unit

Replace the power unit only when it is defective.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove a power unit that is
operating normally.
NOTE: If two power units are installed (redundant
configuration), and one becomes defective, it can be
replaced without powering off the Disk Expansion Unit.
(Skip step 2 in the procedure below).
1. Confirm which of the units is defective by checking the power units LEDs on the rear of
the Disk Expansion Unit.
2. Power off the NEC Express server and then power off the Disk Expansion Unit.
3. Remove the power cord connected to the defective power unit.
4. Remove the defective power unit. Press on the latch (1) to unlock the dummy power unit
handle (2). Carefully slide the power unit out of the Disk Expansion Unit.
