User Guide
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
Follow the procedure below before installing or removing components.
1. Shut down the OS in the NEC Express server.
2. Turn off the power of the NEC Express server.
Refer to the User's Guide of the NEC Express server for more information.
3. Turn off the power of the Disk Expansion Unit. This is not required for the installation or
removal of a hard disk, which can be hot-swapped.
4. Unplug the power cord(s) of the Disk Expansion Unit from the power outlet(s) and then
disconnect the SAS interface cable. This is not required for the installation or removal of
a hard disk, which can be hot-swapped..
