Power Unit
(1)
The Power Unit supplies DC power to the Disk Expansion Unit.
(2)
AC inlet
The power cord connects to the AC inlet.
(3)
Power Unit LED (green/amber/red)
The Power Unit LED lights green if the power unit are operating normally.
The Power Unit LED lights amber if a fan in this unit becomes too slow.
The Power Unit LED lights red if a fan in this unit, or the power supply, has failed.

Fan Unit LED (green/amber/red)
The Fan Unit LED lights green if all fans in the fan unit are operating normally.
The Fan Unit LED lights amber if a fan in this unit becomes too slow.
The Fan Unit LED lights red if a fan in this unit has failed.

Fan Module
Those Fan modules are intended to cool the devices and disk drives installed in the Disk
Expansion Unit.

Dummy Power Unit
Remove the dummy power unit to add power unit options.
(7)
Dummy Power Unit LED (green/amber/red)
The Dummy Power Unit LED lights green if all fans in the dummy power unit are operating
normally.
The Dummy Power Unit LED lights amber if a fan in this unit becomes too slow.
The Dummy Power Unit LED lights red if a fan in this unit has failed.
(8)
SAS connector LED (green)
The SAS connector LED lights green if the Disk Expansion Unit is linked to the connected
server.
(9)
SAS connector
Connect the SAS cable to this SAS connector. Note that the other SAS connectors must not be
used for this purpose.
(10) Power switch
Press the power switch to power on the Disk Expansion Unit.
IO Module Status LED (green/red)

The IO Module Status LED lights red during start-up. Within 2 or 3 seconds, it lights green to
indicate that the IO module is ready.
(12) IO Module
The Control I/O Module of the connected server.
