NOTES ON USE - ALWAYS READ THE NOTES.-

The following includes information necessary for proper and safe operation of the Disk Expansion
Unit.

Safety Indications

Handle the Disk Expansion Unit as instructed in this User's Guide to ensure proper and safe
operation.
The User's Guide describes potential dangers resulting from the use of the Disk Expansion Unit,
dangers you encounter if you do not observe the instructions, and ways to avoid any dangerous
situation.
Warning labels are attached to the components posing potential threats or in their vicinity in the
Disk Expansion Unit.
In the User's Guide, "WARNING" or "CAUTION" is used to indicate a degree of danger. The terms
are defined as follows.
Indicates a hazard that may result in death or serious personal injury.
WARNING
Indicates a hazard that may cause minor personal injury, including burns, or
CAUTION
property damage.
Precautions and notices against hazards are presented with one of the following three symbols.
The individual symbols are defined as follows:
This symbol indicates a hazard.
An image in the symbol illustrates the hazard type. (Attention)
This symbol indicates prohibited actions. An image in the symbol illustrates a
particular prohibited action. (Prohibited Action)
This symbol indicates mandatory actions. An image in the symbol illustrates a
mandatory action to avoid a particular hazard. (Mandatory Action)
