Connecting the remote operation panel

Some of the functions can be remotely controlled by connecting the remote operation panel (optional) via IP connection.
Playback operation is not possible from the remote operation panel. Playback can only be performed from the camera.
f AK-HRP200G is used as the remote operation panel in the following illustration.
@ NOTE
t When a remote operation panel requiring power supply from PoE (Power over Ethernet), such as AK-HRP1000G or AK-HRP1005G, is used, do not
directly connect with the camera using a cross cable, but connect via a switching hub that can supply power.

Setting for connection with remote operation panel

To connect the remote operation panel via network to set the camera to the remote control mode, configure the settings in the following procedure.

Configure the network settings of the camera.
Set [MENU] → [PERIPHERAL] → [LAN PROPERTY] → [DHCP] to [DISABLE], and set following the Steps
(page 195).

Set each item in [MENU] → [PERIPHERAL] → [NETWORK FUNC] → [USER ACCOUNT] in the camera.
[USER NAME]: Sets the user account name. (Factory setting: [guest] or [admin])
[PASSWORD]: Sets the password. (Factory setting: [p2guest] (when [USER NAME] is set to [guest]), [12345] (when [USER NAME] is set to
[admin]))
Enter up to 31 characters for a user account, and characters between 5 and 15 for a password.

Configure the network settings of the remote operation panel.
For the setting method, refer to the operating instructions of the remote operation panel.
For the AK-HRP200G network setting, use the supplied ROP setup software application.

t For the supported remote operation panel, refer to "Use of the camera on a system" (page 8).
t To connect with the remote operation panel, following information are required.
- User account name
- Password
- IP address
- Port number: 49152

t For details on operating the ROP setup software, refer to AK-HRP200G operation manaul.
t Use versions above Ver.3.00.00 for ROP setup software.
t Following operations are restricted when connected to the remote operation panel.
- Controlling of the iris by the <IRIS/SEL> dial button.
- Transferring from the HOME screen to the [FPS], [COLOR], [SHUTTER], [EI], [SYSTEM], and [WB] screens.
- Operation to press the jog dial button in the INFO screen.
- Operation of the <TC> button
- Operation of the USER button with [SIX USER BUTTONS] assigned
