3.1 Maintenance
As an alternative a form can be used to configure any variables.

Description
Absolute address in the original syntax of the
data source.
If block or generic is selected as data type, not
only an address can be be specified, but also a
range and/or list.
Address, number specifies a range starting from
the specified address.
Address+address is a list.
Combinations of range and list are possible.
Optional name of the variable, which will then be
used in the window of the variables instead of
the absolute address
 No counter:
The variable is always processed with the
current variable value. The variable can also
be a counter. The actual counter status is
always processed.
 Up counter:
The system uses the variable as endless dif-
ference totalizer.
This means that if the value of the variable is
less than the last one that was read-in, then
the total variable value is added to the ePS
Network Services counter variable. If the
value is greater than the last, then only the
difference to the last value is added to the
ePS counter variable.
Notice:
Bit variables cannot undergo format changes
and cannot be defined as counters.
Note:
Except for bit variables, all variable formats can
be changed.
