Front Body

INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL

1. Remove cowl. See Front Cowl Removal on page 4-6.
2. Remove steering wheel. See Steering Wheel Removal on page 7-1.
3. Remove knobs from shifting levers.
4. Disconnect wiring harness from components mounted in instrument panel.
5. At engine, loosen choke cable clamp (Figure 4-13, Page 4-10) and disengage choke cable (Figure 4-14,
Page 4-10).

6. Remove wire ties that secure the choke cable to the frame.
7. Loosen instrument panel by removing four screws that secure the top of the instrument panel to the top of the
instrument panel support frame (Figure 4-15, Page 4-10) and removing the two bolts that secure the bottom of
the instrument to the frame (Figure 4-16, Page 4-10).

NOTE: Ensure that choke cable does not get damaged as the instrument panel is pulled back.
8. Remove instrument panel from vehicle.
