Cleaning the cabinet
The cabinet mainly comprises electronic components. Apart from the fan(s), the unit contains
very few components that are subject to wear or require maintenance or servicing. The
purpose of maintenance is to maintain the cabinet condition as per specification. Dirt and
contamination must be removed regularly and parts subject to wear replaced.
The following points must generally be observed.
Dust deposits
Dust deposits inside the cabinet must be removed at regular intervals (or at least once a
year) by qualified personnel in line with the relevant safety regulations. The unit must be
cleaned using a brush and vacuum cleaner, and dry compressed air (max. 14.5 Psi (1 bar))
for areas that cannot be easily reached.
Ventilation
The ventilation openings in the cabinet must never be obstructed. The fan must be checked
to make sure that it is functioning correctly.
6.3
Servicing the cabinet
Servicing involves activities and procedures for maintaining and restoring the operating
condition of the cabinet.
Required tools
The following tools are required for replacing components:
● Standard toolbox with screwdrivers, screw wrenches, socket wrenches, etc.
● Torque wrench from 1.5 Nm to 100 Nm
● 400 mm extension for socket wrench
