There are two
p
ossibilities :
1 . The unit is equipped with α
P
eriod Board only
2. The unit is equipped with α
P
eriod Board and α PLL/Clock
Board .
In either situation :
1 .
R emove the
P
C Board securing screws :
α. Period Board - 5 screws
b.
PLL/Clock Board - 4 screws

2. Slide the
P eriod Board, or the connected
P eriod and PLL/Clock
In boards from the Motherboard connector
3 . Carefully connect the Deskew Board to the connector from which
you removed the
P
eriod Board
4 . Carefully connect the
j
oined
D eskew,Period, and PLL/Clock In
boards, to the Motherboard connector
5 . Secure each board with screws :
α. Deskew Board - 2 screws
b. Period Board - 5 screws
ε . PLL/Clock Board - 4 screws
6 . If there are no other
b oards to be installed, refit the instrument
case
7. Perform α complete
p erformance verification test on the upgraded
unit .
