Pulling out or removing the device from the rack

In most cases, maintenance work can be done while the device has been pulled out from
i
the rack. Depending on accessibility and safety instructions, it is however sometimes
sensible to remove the device from the rack cabinet completely for maintenance purposes.
CAUTION!
!
•
Use the anti-tilt bracket to secure the rack during the work. If you pull the device out
of the rack without the anti-tilt bracket being applied, the rack will tip over.
•
Take care that no fingers or clothing items become trapped when sliding equipment in
or out. Otherwise you may be injured.
•
Please follow the safety instructions in the "Important notes" section.
•
Make sure that the device is shut down (see section "Shutting down the device").

Pull the device out of the rack

► Pull the quick release levers downwards on both sides (1).
► Pull the device as far as possible out of the rack (2).
CAUTION!
!
Do not put anything down on the pulled-out device, nor use it as a work surface, do not
lean on or against the device under any circumstances.
