Possible Cause
• Phase-to-phase short (U/T1, V/T2, or W/T3).
• Defective IGBT (U/T1, V/T2, or W/T3).
• ASD output to the motor is connected incorrectly.
• ASD is attempting to start into a spinning motor
after a momentary power loss.
• Motor/machine jammed.
• Mechanical brake engaged while the ASD is
starting or while running.
• Acceleration/deceleration time is too short.
• Voltage Boost setting is too high.
• V/f setting adjustment required.
• Load fluctuations.
• ASD is operating at an elevated temperature.
• ASD/Motor improperly matched.
• ASD current exceeds 320% or 340% of the rated
FLA on ASDs that are greater than 100 HP or
