PAPER MISFEED

2-1.

Initial Check Items

• When a paper misfeed occurs in this machine, first make the following initial checks.
Check
Does the paper meet product specifications?
Is the paper curled, wavy, or damp?
Is the paper transport path deformed, dirty, or
obstructed with foreign matter?
Are the Paper Separator Fingers dirty, deformed,
or worn?
Is the roller dirty, deformed, or worn?
Are Edge Guides at correct position to accommo-
date paper?
Does the actuator operate correctly when
checked?
Precautions for Clearing Misfeed
• Reset the misfeed condition by opening and closing the Front Door after the misfeed has
been cleared.

ADF Unit Initial Check Items

• When a paper misfeed occurs in this machine, first make the following initial checks.
Check

feed has been cleared.

Replace paper.

Replace Fusing Unit.

Slide the Edge Guides up against the
edges of the paper stack.
