APPENDIX 2 List of Messages

The table below summarizes messages that can potentially appear when using 3D-Image
Capture and 3D-Image Viewer.
If an error occurs in a condition other than those shown below, stop the operation of the
system. Turn off the TM3030Plus main unit, and restart it.
If the problem is not resolved or the error persists even after the restart, please contact the
Service Department.
Message
Time has run out.
Failed "Image Capture".
Time has run out.
Failed "Quick Save".
Memory size is
inadequate.
Failed to save the
images.
Failed the Brightness
setting.
The images with
inappropriate brightness
for 3D might be saved.
Do you continue?
The focus is out of its
range.
Adjust the specimen
height properly.
Do you continue?
Electron beam is off.
Failed to start the
3D-Image capturing.
States
During Image Capture,
time (200 sec.) has run
out.
During Quick Save, time
(60 sec.) has run out.
The save destination disk
is full.
Brightness could not be set
at the proper level.
The value of D is out of the
recommended range of 8.5
 1.0 mm.
HV turned off (HV-OFF)
right before the 3D image
capturing due to
deterioration of the degree
of vacuum.
Appendix - 4
Solutions
Close any other application that
may be running. Refrain from
performing any non-TM3030Plus
PC operations, such as Windows
file operations, external
communications, network
connections, or writing to a CD-R.
Check the amount of the disk
space. 3D-Image Capture
requires the space of at least 40
MB.
Adjust the brightness using a
usual observation image.
If selecting [OK], Image Capture
will be executed without
automatic adjustment of the
brightness.
Adjust specimen height so that
the value of D will be within the
range of 8.5  1.0 mm.
Click the [Start] button to perform
3D-Image Capture again.
