When verifying part programs or after processing has been interrupted, the
block search function can be used to select any point in the part program at
which processing is to start or be continued. Block search can be performed
with or without calculation.

A channel is characterised by its ability to execute a part program
independently of other channels. Part program sequences in different channels
can be co-ordinated by synchronisation.
