Configuration of SICAM AK and CP-6010
3.1 Overview
The board rack CM-2848 is primarily designed for communication and route redundancy.
Hint:
It is NOT possible to realise plants compliant with safety relevant requirements (SIL) since a single failure
within the power supply could lead to a switching-off the board rack completely.
A full AU-redundancy cannot be sufficiently achieved, although the propability that a single failure leads to
a power shutdown is very low.
3.1.1 System Components
The SICAM AK3 redundancy system cosists of:
•
1 board rack CM-2848 with 17 slots
•
2 modules CP-2016
•
1-2 power supply modules PS-263x possible
•
