Querying and displaying of output M help functions
2.13.1
Possibilities of information
Methods of information
Information on the status of M help functions is possible with:
• Display on the operator interface
• Query of system variables in part programs and synchronous actions
2.13.1.1
Status display on the operator interface
The output and acknowledgement status of help functions can be output on the operator
interface.
Prerequisites
A prerequisite to execute a function-oriented acknowledgement and display of M help
functions is that management of the help functions is to be executed in the PLC proper, i.e.
in the user program. For that reason, the PLC programmer has to acknowledge the help
functions himself. He must know which help functions are in which group and which he has
to acknowledge.
Default
M help functions not managed via PLC are marked as output and transferred to the PLC by
the NCK. Functional acknowledgement for these help functions does not exist. All M help
functions collected after a block search are additionally displayed so that the operator knows
which help functions are output after starting after block search.
PLC activities
With help function groups managed by the PLC itself, the PLC user program must
acknowledge all help functions of this group after transfer and at the end of the function. The
PLC programmer must know all help functions of these groups.
