21. Press the trigger (1) slowly until you
hear a click.
22. Dispose of the fiber remnants in the
supplied container (E).

19. Make sure that the adapter plate (2)
with the correct labeling (SC for SC
plug) is fitted to the cleave tool (C).
Note: How to change adapter plates
is described in the appendix.
23. Check the assembled plug with the
microscope (D).
If the plug is dirty, clean it with the
supplied lint-free cloths. If it is badly
contaminated, dampen the cloth with
isopropanol.
24. Place the dust protection cap (e) on
the plug ferrule.
2.4 Optical networks
20. Insert the plug into the cleave tool
(C) as far as the limit stop and hold
the plug in position. The fiber
extends out of the cleave tool (C).
Note: The plug surface is okay. Sligh
irre
gularities at the edge are of no
sig
nificance.
