Workpiece measurement: Measure reference point

start
When you press the softkey "MEASUREMENT START" the control automatically switches to
"AUTOMATIC" mode and measuring cycle L887 is selected. Execution of the measuring cycle
is triggered on NC START. Points P1 and P2 of the first edge are measured and then P3 and
P4 of the second edge.
The cycle calculates the point of intersection of the two lines and the result is the coordinates
that it supplies. The probe is again positioned at the starting point on completion of
measurement. Then the control automatically switches to JOG mode and the selection display
"WORKPIECE MEASUREMENT" appears on the screen with the following results
• Reference point, abscissa in machine or workpiece coordinates
• Reference point, ordinate in machine or workpiece coordinates
