10.2.4 Allowing Remote Login

You can specify whether a user can log in to the RP100-55T remotely from the web interface
or over Telnet. A user that logs in to the RP100-55T remotely can manage the RP100-55T
from the Web or Telnet interface.
To allow the RP100-55T to be logged in to remotely, do the following:
Step 1 Choose Settings > Security, and then set the parameters listed in Table 10-2.

Maximum interconnectivity: The media streams are encrypted only when a call can be
set up. If the other party does not support encryption, no media stream is forced to be
encrypted.

Description
When enabled, this function allows remote users to log in
to the RP100-55T web interface to manage the codec.
This specifies the administrator user name and password
used to log in to the RP100-55T web interface. Use a
string comprising uppercase and lowercase letters and
digits for both.
The user name can contain a maximum of 128 characters,
and the password can contain a maximum of 32
characters. The user name cannot be left blank and is case
sensitive.
When Security Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is enabled,
the touch panel must use Hypertext Transfer Protocol
Secure (HHTPS) to connect to the RP100-55T.
SSL encryption protects against the data interception
during transmission. Enable this function if the
transmitted data is confidential.
NOTE
This function involves privacy protection. Ensure that its use
complies with local laws and regulations.
When this function is enabled, remote users can log in to
the RP100-55T web interface to view local and remote
videos and presentations and take pictures. For details,
see 11.4.8 "Taking Photos." By default, this function is
disabled on the RP100-55T.
When enabled, this function allows for login using Telnet
after which users can query system status and logs to
