Maintenance 4. Maintenance Parts Replacement Procedures

4.3 SMB Unit

NOTE
The Drive unit differs by the using manipulator. Different procedures are instructed for
each Drive unit as follows. Follow the corresponding procedure.
Connected to the C3 series manipulator
Connected to the G, RS or X5 series manipulator
SMB Unit
(1) Turn OFF the Drive unit and unplug the power connector.
Remove
(2) Disconnect the cables connected to the SMB.
(3) Remove four screws on the front cover and three screws on the backside shown in

(4) Remove the screw on the top and bottom
(5) Remove two screws on each cover.

Perform steps (4) to (6) to remove the ProSix Driver Unit.
