Parking Brake Switch

WARNING:
 To prevent accidents due to running away of the
machine, after parking the machine or before
leaving the machine, be sure to apply the parking
brake.
 Never apply the parking brake switch (1) while
moving the machine except in an emergency.
Premature wear and/or damage to the parking
brake may result. After the parking brake has
been applied in an emergency while moving the
machine, have the parking brake checked at your
nearest authorized dealer.
1. Press the OFF side of parking brake switch (1) to
release the parking brake. Check that parking brake
indicator (2) goes OFF by pressing the switch firmly
twice.
Press the ON side of parking brake switch (1) to apply
the parking brake.
Operate the parking brake after stopping the
machine on level ground.

NOTE: While running the engine, when the parking
brake is applied with forward/reverse selector switch lever
(3) in neutral, parking brake indicator (2) comes ON.
2. While running the engine, when the parking brake
is applied with forward/reverse lever (3) in either
the forward (F) or reverse (R) position, parking brake
indicator (2) comes ON, and the alarm buzzer sounds.
F-N-R display (4) of the monitor display indicates "N"
not "R". The display will not indicate "F" and "R" until
the parking brake is released.
3. To ensure safe operation, when the engine is
stopped, the parking brake is applied even if parking
brake switch (1) is in the OFF position.
In this case even after the engine is restarted, the
parking brake will not be released. After starting the
engine, push the ON position of parking brake switch
(1) once. Then, push the OFF position parking brake
switch (1) to release the parking brake.
