Shield gas
• Due to the difference in heat input between AC
and DC, neatly wave-patterned bead appearance
is obtained.
• With DC TIG and AC TIG mixed together, good
weld penetration can be achieved.
• Arc with strong convergence is available.
Aluminum
• Suitable for the fillet welding of a thin plate.
Magnesium
• Suitable for vertical and upward welding.
Brass
• Electrode exhaustion is considerably reduced.
• Inserting filler wire during the AC period enables
improvement in working property.
• Setting the MIX TIG frequency to 1 through 2Hz
makes it easier to control the insertion timing of
filler wire.
• In the case of MIX TIG welding, the spot welding is not
available.
