Installation

Please prepare the following before installing the options.
 Parts included in the option kit
To install the components, follow these steps.
1. Backup all of the data of server.
2. See steps 1 to 7 in Chapter 2 (1.2 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.
3. Install the cable clip for the Mini-SAS cable to the removed air baffle.

The 12G SAS Expander Card requires a RAID controller. There are 2 types of

RAID controllers: Type-a and Type-p. If using Type-p, the RAID controller must be
installed in PCI Slot 1 (primary) or Slot 4 (secondary).
