INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION, SHIFT
FORKS AND SHIFT DRUM ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
D shift fork 1 "1" (left) 1
(face the "1" side for the clutch side.)
D shift fork 2 "2" (right) 2
(face the "2" side for the clutch side.)
D shift fork 3 "3" (center) 3
(face the "3" side for the magneto side.)
D shift drum 4
D shift fork guide bar 1 5 (long)
D shift fork guide bar 2 6 (short)
NOTE:
Install the shift forks with the embossed mark to
the right and in sequence (1, 2, 3) beginning
from the right.
2. Check:
D shift drum operation
Unsmoothy operation  Repair.
NOTE:
Check the transmission and shift forks for
smooth operation by turning the shift drum with
your hand.
