5 System Operation and Maintenance
Possible Causes
1. The condenser fins
are dirty or blocked.
2. The outdoor fan or
its drive is faulty.
3. The cables to the
high pressure switch
are loose or
damaged.
4. The high pressure
switch is faulty.
5. The refrigerant is
overfilled.
6. The outdoor unit is
not properly
installed.
The Comp HP Switch
Alarm is triggered
multiple times within a
specified period of
time.
Solution
1. Clean the condenser
fins.
2. Maintain or replace
the outdoor fan
drive or outdoor
fan.
3. Check the cable
connections to the
high pressure
switch.
4. Maintain or replace
the high pressure
switch.
5. Decrease certain
amount of
refrigerant.
6. Reinstall the
outdoor unit.
