You can use the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys and function keys [1] –
[3].
Use the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys to select a status message.
Press the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ key to scroll up or the ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ key to scroll down.
You can scroll down the screen by pressing ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ when a
small arrow appears at the bottom of the display.
Below are the functions of funtion keys [1] – [3].
[1] [SEND]: This key allows you to send the currently
selected message to the selected recipient. Confirm
the recipient before pressing this key as transmission
starts immediately after it is pressed.
[2] [↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ PAGE]: You can scroll down status messages
page by page.
[3] [↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ PAGE]: You can scroll up status messages
page by page.
Following is a summary of the procedures to make a
Status call.
1 Select a status message.
2 Press [SEND] to send the message.
Note: The recipient at the top of the display may not
appear due to the configuration of the KPG-71D
to 4.2.3.3. Display}
z Status call transmission failure occurs
The following display appears when the transmission
failure occurs for any reason.
You can use two keys on this screen.
Menu key: Return to the Menu mode display.
[RETRY] key: Try to send the message again.
z Making a Selective call
The following display appears when selecting
[SELCALL].
You can use function key [1] on this screen.
Below is the function of funtion key [1].
[1] [KEY]: This key allows you to make a Selective call
to the sender of the message. Press this key to
transmit.
The transmission starts by selecting [KEY] and the
following display appears.
Select [UNKEY] to cancel the transmission.
Note: Toggle or Momentary operation can be
programmed to [KEY] and [UNKEY]
T T T T [TIME]/ [FROM] Change the characteristic of

the Message List display

You can assign this function-to-function key [4] and
change the characteristic of the Message List display
by pressing the key.

The following display appears when selecting
[FROM].
This display shows the sender of the message.
The following display appears when selecting
[TIME].
This display shows the date and time the message
was received.
You can toggle between the [TIME] display and the
[FROM] display to search for a message.
T T T T [SORT] Sort your received Message List
You can assign this function-to-function key [1] to
sort your Message List using a specific sorting
method. The following display appears when
selecting [SORT].
3. KDS-100 operation
z Selective call transmission failure occurs
The following display appears when the
transmission failure occurs for any reason.
The display switches to the Selective call display
immediately. Select [KEY] to try to make a
Selective call again or press MENU to return to
Message List mode display.
