3. KDS-100 Operation
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to change the
value at the cursor position.
When using the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys, the time may be
advanced. The value that you are adjusting will
become "00" or "01" but it will not affect other time
positions: i.e.- when adjusting the "minutes", changing
the minutes from 59 to 00 will not change the "hours"
value.
[1] [APPLY]: This key allows you to apply the
adjusted time by using the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys, and to return
to the second screen.
[2] [← ← ← ← ]: This key allows you to move the cursor to the
left.
[3] [→ → → → ]: This key allows you to move the cursor to the
right.
Press MENU to abort the adjustments. This key allows
you to go to the second terminal settings screen.
3.4.7. Deleting messages from
memory
Press [MSG UTY] to view the following display.
Use the [DELETE] command in the Message List to
add messages to your recycle bin.
[DELETE]: Delete the received message from the
Message List}
Below are the functions of the keys on this display.
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to move the
cursor up and down.
[1] [RESTORE]: This key allows you to restore the
selected message to the Message List.
[2] [RES ALL]: This key allows you to restore all the
messages to the Message List.
[3] [BIN CLR]: This key allows you to delete all the
messages that are in the list. The confirmation display
appears when selecting this key.
Press [YES] to delete the message from the terminal's
memory.

[4] [TIME]/ [FROM]: This key allows you to change
the characteristics of the list. Select [FROM] to display
the name of the sender or [TIME] to display the date
and time the message was received.
Press MENU to abort the operation. This key allows
you to return to the second terminal settings screen.
Note: You may not be able to execute [MSG UTY] due to the
Message Delete configuration of the KPG-71D.
Key}
In this case, [MSG UTY] will not appear on the terminal
settings screen.
3.5. Special mode
3.5.1. Reset mode
You can enter Reset mode by pressing MENU and
function key [5] at the same time if Reset Mode
configuration is ON in the KPG-71D. The following
display appears in Reset mode.
You can use the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys and function keys [1] –
[3], and [5] on this display.
Below are the functions of funtion keys [1] – [3] and
[5].
[1] [DISPLAY]: This key returns the display contrast
and volume to their default values. It does not affect
the display brightness or the numbers of lines
displayed.
[2] [LOG CLR]: This key allows you to delete all the
messages stored in KDS-100.
[3] [ALL CLR]: This key returns the display contrast
and volume to their default values, and deletes the
messages stored in the KDS-100. It does not affect
the display brightness or the numbers of lines
displayed.
[4] [CANCEL]: The key cancels the current mode
and returns to the previously display.
Note: The previously display appears if you do not perform any
operation for more than 10 seconds.
