z Data Parameter
The following display appears when selecting "Data
Parameter".
・ Number of Retries
Retry FleetSync data transmission if you do not receive
the message receipt confirmation from the recipient
within the time set per the Maximum ACK Wait Time.
You can set the numbers of automatic retries from 0 to
8 by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the
display. You can enter the value directly, but you
cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is out of
range.
・ TX Busy Wait Time
Set the time to wait for the recipient's response when
making a FleetSync data transmission. When the wait
time is over, the data transmission is aborted and a
message asking you to retry appears. If the wait time is
too short, the time will be over before Random Access
and the FleetSync data is transmited.
You can set the time interval from 0.5 to 60.0 seconds,
in steps of 0.5 seconds, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys
on the right of the display. You can enter the value
directly, but you cannot enter two decimal places or a
number that is out of range.
Note: This configuration does not apply to emergency
calls.
・ Maximum ACK Wait Time
Set the duration from when the KDS-100 recalls the
other unit to when the KDS-100 receives the message
receipt confirmation from the other unit. If the
confirmation is not received within that time, the
KDS-100 automatically retries the commnunication.
The wait time should be longer than the "ACK Delay
Time".
You can set the time interval from 0.5 to 60.0 seconds,
in steps of 0.1 seconds by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys
on the right of the display. You can enter the value
directly, but you cannot enter two decimal places or a
number that is out of range.
・ ACK Delay Time
Set the duration from when the data transmission ends
to when the message receipt message transmission
starts. The time should be shorter than the Maximum
ACK Wait Time.
4. KDS-100 Configuration
・ ・ ・ ・ TX Delay Time (RX capture)
This is the non-modulating (carrier only) time that is
added to the first data transmission when performing a
series of data transmissions. You can add a delayed
data transmission time to allow the receiving party
enough time to receive the data if the receiver is
scanning.
・ Data TX Modulation Delay Time
Set the duration from when the data transmission starts
to when the data modulation starts.
You can set the time interval from 0 to 6000 msec, in
steps of 1 msec by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the
right of the display. You can enter the value directly, but
you cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is
out of range.
・ Random Access
If several FleetSync (DMS) transmissions occur
simultaneously, the data transmission may fail.
The KDS-100 has a function that enables you to create
a random transmission interval to ensure stable data
transmissions.
Execute "Random Access" if the checkbox is selected.
Note: This configuration does not apply to emergency
calls.
z GPS
The following display appears when selecting "GPS".
・ GPS Function
This checkbox allows you to control the function of
GPS. GPS is available when this checkbox is selected.
If the checkbox is not selected, you cannot use the
GPS function.
{Refer to 3.3.2.3. Description of the
display}
・ Base Fleet
This checkbox allows you to set the fleet number of the
base unit that receives the GPS data from each
KDS-100. You can enter a value from 100 and 349.
