4. KDS-100 Configuration

Note: The Proceed Tone Level is effective when
selecting FleetSync (DMS) AIR protocol.
・ Warning Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound during
operational errors. Select the level by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧
and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of display. The levels available
vary from OFF to 31 (default = 15). You can directly
enter a value, but you cannot enter a decimal value or
numbers that are out of range.
・ New Message Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound when a new
message is received. Select the level by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧
and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of display. The levels available
vary from OFF to 31 (default = 15). You can directly
enter a value, but you cannot enter a decimal value or
numbers that are out of range.
・ New Message Tone Duration
You can adjust the duration of the tone for new
message receipts. Select the duration from 1 to 255
seconds, in steps of 1 second, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨
keys on the right of display. You can directly enter a
value, but you cannot enter a decimal value or numbers
that are out of range.
Continuous may appear when clicking buttons. The
sound keeps sounding when selecting Continuous.
Press any key to stop.
Directly enter 0 to set Continuous. Adjust New
Message Tone Level configuration to mute the new
message receipt sound since you cannot mute the new
message receipt sound at New Message Tone
Duration.
Note: Adjusting New Message Tone Level is effective
on the emergency call receipt sound.
・ Selective call Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound when a new
Selective call is received. Select the level by pressing
the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of display. The levels
available vary from OFF to 31 (default = 15). You can
directly enter a value, but you cannot enter a decimal
value or numbers that are out of range.
・ Emergency Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound when a new
emergency call is received. Select the level by pressing
the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of display. The levels
available vary from OFF to 31 (default = 15). You can

Note: Ensure that the Fixed Volume (Emergency
Mode) checkbox is selected when adjusting
Emergency Tone Level.
・ Fixed Volume (Emergency Mode)
Select this checkbox to configure the sound of the
emergency call. You cannot adjust the emergency call
receipt sound by the volume contol at the Terminal
settings
{Refer to 3.4.2.}
and adjustments in the
Emergency Tone Level setting if this checkbox is not
selected.

This tab allows you to configure the KDS-100
communication.
These status selections may vary, corresponding to the
communication protocol selected. Below is a list of the
default values.
・ When FleetSync (DMS) PC protocol is selected
SQ: Low
DTC:Low
TXS/LOK: Low
AM: High
MM: High
・ When FleetSync (DMS) AIR protocol is selected.
SQ: High
DTC: Low
TXS/LOK: High
AM: High
MM: High
These configurations should match the transceiver's
configurations.
