4. KDS-100 Configuration
There are three tabs on the top of the window:
"FleetSync (DMS) Settings", "Data Parameter", and
"GPS". You can switch the window by clicking these
tabs to go to each configuration display.

z FleetSync (DMS) Settings
The following display appears when selecting

"FleetSync (DMS) Settings".

・ Fleet (Own)
Set "FleetSync (DMS) AIR" as the KDS-100
communication protocol to perform data transmission
between the transceivers. Use "Fleet" and "ID" to
identify the recipient in FleetSync. You can set the fleet
number from 100 and 349, but you cannot enter a
decimal value or a number that is out of range.
You can adjust the configuration if "FleetSync (DMS)
AIR" protocol is selected.
・ ID (Own)
Set the ID number of the KDS-100 here. You can set
the ID (own) number from 1000 and 4999, but you
cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is out of
range.
You can adjust the configuration if "FleetSync (DMS)
AIR" protocol is selected.
・ FleetSync (DMS) Baud Rate
Set the baud rate of "FleetSync (DMS) AIR"
communication as 1200 or 2400 bps. The setting
should be the same between terminals in order for
them to communicate with each other.
The default value is 1200 bps. Set the baud rate to
1200 bps for stable communications.

You can adjust the configuration if "FleetSync (DMS)
AIR" protocol is selected.
"Unprogrammed!" appears if Fleet (Own) and ID (own)
are not set.
・ Preferred Response
Set the communication method by pressing
[RESPOND] at the Message List mode.
Sel. Call/ Status: You can make a Status or
Selective call. You can manually select Status or
Selective call after pressing [RESPOND]. The
Selective call display will not appear if the Selective
call display is set to OFF in "Optional Features".

Selective call: You can make a Selective call
only. Press [RESPOND] to make a Selective call to
the sender of the message. The Selective call
display will not appear if the Selective call display is
set to OFF in "Optional Features". You cannot send
a message from the Message List mode.
Status: You can make a Status call only. The
Status Message List will appear by pressing
[RESPOND]. Select a status message to send and
press the [SEND] key.
・ Selective call Mute Time
This function allows you to continue being muted in the
time set where the signals are interrupted during
receiving and muting the selective call. Utilize this
function if the receiving signals are often interrupted
when receiving several selective calls. You can set the
mute duration of the speaker here.
You can set the duration from 0.1 to 25.0 seconds, in
steps of 0.1 seconds, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on
the right of the display. You can enter the value directly,
but you cannot enter two decimal places or a number
that is out of range.
You can adjust the configuration if "FleetSync (DMS)
AIR" protocol is selected.
・ Max. Radio Response Wait Time
This is the Wait time until the ACK signal returns when
transmitting data to a transceiver using the FleetSync
(DMS) PC protocol. You can set the maximum wait
time here.
You can set the duration from 10 to 129 seconds, in
steps of 1 second, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the
right of the display. You can enter the value directly, but
you cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is
out of range.
You can set the configuration when "FleetSync (DMS)
PC" protocol is selected.
Note: "Max. Radio Response Wait Time" should be
larger than "Number of Retries x Max. ACK Wait Time"
to ensure stable operation.
