assigned separately. Therefore [VOLUME], [DIMMER],
[LINES], and [CONTRAS] commands that are assigned at the
second screen may have the following display.

Second Screen

Following are explanations of how to assign function
keys on the second screen.
[1] [TIME]: This key allows you to adjust the time of the
KDS-100 display.
{Refer to 3.4.6.}
[2] [MSG UTY]: This key gives you access to
messages that have been deleted by pressing
[DELETE] in Message List mode. You can restore the
messages to the list or delete the message from the
terminal's memory.
{Refer to 3.4.7.}
[3] [RETURN]: This key allows you to return to the first
screen.
Note: You may not be able to execute [MSG UTY] due to the
[Message Delete] configuration of the KPG-71D.
4.2.3.3. Key}
In this case, [MSG UTY] will not appear.

3.4.2. Adjusting the volume

Press [VOLUME] to adjust the volume level.
You can adjust the sound volume from levels 0 to 31.
Below are the functions of the keys on this display.
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to adjust the
volume. Press the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ key to increase the volume and
the ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ key to decrease the volume. You cannot mute
the sound from this display. You can hear the sound
even if you set the volume at 0. To mute the sound,
you must set the configurations through the KPG-71D.

3.4.3. Adjusting the display
brightness
Press [DIMMER] to adjust the display brightness.
You can adjust the display brightness from levels 0 to
3.
This adjustment is the same as the Default Level
setting in the Display configuration of the Optional
Features in KPG-71D.
Below are the functions of the keys on this display.
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to adjust the
display brightness. Press the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ key to increase the
brightness or press ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ key to decrease the brightness.
You can also configure the display brightness at the
LCD Brightness setting in KPG-71D.
Configuration adjustment in KPG-71D is preferred in
making changes to the KDS-100 configuration.
3.4.4. Adjusting the displayed lines
Press [LINES] to adjust the number of lines that
appear on the KDS-100 display.

Adjust the numbers of lines from three lines, five lines,
or six lines.
Below are the functions of the keys on this display.
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to adjust the
number of lines that appear on the display. Choose
the number of lines that best suits your needs.
You can also configure the numbers of lines to display
in the Lines of Text setting in KPG-71D.
Configuration adjustment in KPG-71D is preferred in
making changes to the KDS-100 configuration.

3.4.5. Adjusting the display contrast
Press [CONTRAS] to adjust the display contrast.
You can adjust the display contrast from -15 to +15.
Below are the functions of the keys on this display.
∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys: These keys allow you to adjust the
display contrast. Press the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ key to increase the
contrast or the ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ key to decrease the contrast.
3.4.6. Adjusting the time
Select [TIME] to set the time on the KDS-100.
