This command allows you to set the time from when you
receive an emergency signal to when you enter
emergency mode. Select a number from 0.1 to 5.0
seconds, in steps of 0.1 seconds, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and
∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the display. You can enter the
value directly, but you cannot enter two decimal places
or a number that is out of range.
▪ Emergency Display
Select the display that appears in Emergency mode.
Text: Up to 38 characters appear. Enter the
characters for "Emergency Text".
Revert: This command allows you to keep the
current display.
▪ Emergency Text
If you select "Text" for the Emergency Display, the
message you enter for "Emergency Text" appears. You
can enter up to 38 characters.
・ Emergency Mode Type
Configures the transceiver operation for Emergency
calls.
Audible: Normal sound is audible.
Silent: Normal sound is not audible.
・ Emergency Cycle
Set the number of transmission cycles in emergency
mode. Select a number from 1 to 254, or "Continuous",
in steps of 1, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right
of the display. You can enter a value directly.
"Continuous" repeats the operation until [Emergency] is
pressed again, or the KDS-100 is switched off.
Following is a summary of the emergency operations.
Locator Tone1 → Emergency signal transmission →
Locator Tone2 → Emergency signal receipt
▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ Duration of Locator Tone1
Configure the duration of the speaker's tone that sounds
before the transceiver transmits the emergency signal. It
will make the Emergency call after this tone sounds.
Select a number from 0 to 255 seconds, in steps of 1
second, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the
display. You can enter a value directly, but you cannot
enter a number that is out of range.
Ensure that "Audible" is set at "Emergency Mode Type"
and that "Emergency Monitor" is selected before
adjusting this setting.
▪ Emergency Monitor
Select this function to communicate via the transceiver
microphone when using the emergency foot switch.
This function allows the base to receive calls from a car
that is in emergency mode.
▪ Duration of Transmission Mode
The signal is transmitted when entering emergency
mode. Set the duration of the emergency signal
transmission. Select a number from 0 to 255 seconds, in
steps of 1 second, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the
right of the display. You can enter a value directly, but
you cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is out
of range.
When the signal transmission ends, the mode switches
to signal receipt mode, after the Locator Tone sounds.
Ensure that Emergency Monitor is selected before
adjusting this setting.
▪ Duration of Locator Tone2
Configure the duration of the speaker's tone that sounds
after the transceiver transmits the emergency signal.
The tone notifies you that you are in emergency mode.
Select a number from 0 to 255 seconds, in steps of
1 second, by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of
the display. You can enter a value directly, but you
cannot enter a decimal value or a number that is out of
range.
Ensure that "Audible" is set at "Emergency Mode Type"
and that "Emergency Monitor" is selected before
adjusting this setting.
▪ Duration of Receiving Mode
The mode switches to signal receipt mode after the
signal transmission and Locator Tone sounds in
Emergency mode.
You can set the duration of the signal receipt. Select a
number from 1 to 255 seconds, in steps of 1 second, by
pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the display.
You can enter a value directly, but you cannot enter a
decimal value or a number that is out of range.
When the signal receiving duration is expires, the signal
transmission starts again.

4.2.3.4. Program

Configure the communication between the
KDS-100 (uploading or downloading data) and the
output level of the transceivers. A pull-down menu
appears when selecting the command at the Menu.

Reading from MDT

The following window appears when selecting "Read
from MDT" from the pull-down menu.
